We are excited to host this fall trunk show with Fernweh Jewelry and Little Black Sheep Studio featuring handcrafted jewelry and wearables from around the world as well has handwoven wall hangings and textiles.

Fernweh Jewelry was launched in 2015 by two VCU Arts alums, Amelia Tonnelli and Rachel Widmark, with a three-pronged mission: travel to developing countries to experience cultures through the people, their art, and craftsmanship; create globally inspired jewelry influenced by the culture, which features hand-crafted elements; give back to the countries by subsidizing microloans to local women. The line in comprised of pieces that incorporate ceramics and handcrafted details indigenous to the cultures that inspire each design.

Little Black Sheep Studio is a one-woman operation run by Kate Koconis in Providence Forge, Virginia. Her handmade designs are woven on her Leclerc 4 shaft loom or on the handbuilt loom she uses to create her wall hangings. Kate’s pieces have been a popular fixture at Quirk since they were added to the shop earlier this year.

It’s not too early to start searching for the perfect holiday gift and these cozy creations are sure to offer that special something that’ll make your present unexpected and unique.
