I wanted this showing to represent just that, a range or series of related things.
The work relates because it has one creator, and the work is varied because that creator is a saturated artist with more ideas than she knows what to do with. The breadth of my work and mind are ever changing, and demonstrating a scope can be an excellent way to retrieve a reaction from the viewer whether it show positive or negative. These pieces represent the honest working cycle in my studio: starting with an abstracted, intuitive approach in creating a subject matter that travels from figurative to landscape to complete abstraction and back again, becoming what they are after achieving balance in line, color, and composition.
Sally King Benedict is an abstract artist whose work strives to reflect the balance between color, form and line in a beautiful and exciting way. She has many influences and inspirations in her life, and chooses to explore a number of subject matters and mediums throughout her process. Sally has been featured for her work and style in various publications including in Garden & Gun, Domino Magazine, Elle Decor, Southern Accents, Southern Living and many more. Her work has warranted numerous solo shows across the region.
After starting her career in Charleston, SC, Sally lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband and their son.
